Did you know I saw Maynard Ferguson in concert? It was on my birthday one year when I worked at the Pik. Carl and I and a bunch of people went to Sam's Old Time Ballroom (the bar downtown that is no longer there), and it was really good (for someone who doesn't particularly like jazz). I don't fully appreciate the scream trumpet--too shrill for my delicate hearing (er..yeh...). Do you have a beard now? Have you always and I am as usual just unaware?! You look a little like Uncle Don in that picture/avatar (whatever). I am going to Michigan in October to hang with Mom while Dad goes to Texas and fetches stuff and visits friends there. I think I'll be there for about three weeks, maybe longer (!). But it's right around Bonnie's birthday, so it'll be great to be there for that. She's even excited! --L, M
