Today at work, everything went great except for the paper cutter bit. Now, I'm a very cautious guy with the office equipment. About the only thing I ever did was put a staple through a finger the day we got our first electric stapler at work, back in the 80s. I've always been wary of drop-arm paper cutters. I made a somewhat bloody-looking sign for the lethally balanced three-foot-long cutter back at the University of Houston. I shuddered recently when Steve did something awful to his thumb with this cutter. So today I was cutting a bunch of card stock and I reached forward without looking and cut myself on the cutter. The blade stayed still and I did the cutting. It hurt like a paper cut, and only bled when I squeezed it, so I finished the work I was doing. Very annoying.
