Hey, kids! What's wrong with these pictures?
I scanned ten puzzles from a 1948 "Bookshelf for Boys and Girls" (and the answers) to my flickr page, partly for the amusement of my sisters. We used to laugh at these pictures together. I found another copy of this volume years later, and tonight I scanned and cleaned up these pages.
Besides the cartoony, perfectly circular heads, these cartoons also offer a glimpse of everyday life in ten daffy little vignettes of office, garage, drug store, department store, street scene, zoo, park, and more. It's like watching old Three Stooges shorts for those glimpses of street scenes in the suburbs of Los Angeles. I hope you'll enjoy them.
