ride the wild escher

The M.C. Escher homepage has a "downloads" section with three MPEG tours through 3-D renderings of "Belvedere," "Waterfall" and "Ascending and Descending." They're moderately interesting. On the other hand, if you want to purchase T-shirts, silk ties, or other Escher-related paraphernalia, the homepage has that as well, or you can try this page.
Both of these came from Earth Science Picture of the Day, which is available as an LJ feed, by the way. I had recently put the Astronomical Picture of the Day on my LJ, and when I saw an EPOD posted on... hmmm, The Sideshow again... I looked for, and found, the feed.
Thanks to Sideshow Avedon (not her real nickname!) for mentioning EPOD and indirectly leading me to the Escher.
