d'Ordel's pantechnicon

I've posted an entire book to my flickr account -- 120 pages, I think -- a surprisingly funny humour book of 1904 called "D'Ordel's Pantechnicon: An Universal DIRECTORY of the MECHANICAL ART of MANUFACTURING Illustrated Magazines" which explains just how periodical literature is done. Though it might first appear to be dated, the timeless procedures and recipes found herein apply just as well to the entertainments of the present day. Learn how to create a serial adventure hero who is his own deus ex machina! Discover the phrases that make up every serial adventure! Master the art of padding!

Illustration from The Search for the Iron Toe by D'Oothey Boyle, featuring the ancient genius, the calm, smiling, dreamy, cold, unbending, bitter, pondern'n Grypula, as narrated by his steadfast, idiot companion.
Joe Bob says: Check it out.
