let's make a difference!

I'm weary of blind links. I especially detest the fact that YouTube links don't offer a clue to the content.
I post now and then to "Sadly, No!", and read it frequently. I commented to the effect that I don't always click on links without explanations, and mentioned how to use tooltips -- after the quoted URL in an a href= command, you say title= and put the desired text in quotes before the right angle bracket, and there it is. When the reader hovers the mouse cursor over the link, a little yellow text box appears.
For instance!
I forgot to mention that I sometimes learn things like that by using "View Source" to swipe secrets from others. The tooltips I gleaned from "Making Light." I've also swiped good code from
agrumer.
So anyway, a couple of days later, the Sadlynauts are using tooltips with wild abandon, like they're a new toy. That warm feeling isn't heartburn.
