sometimes there are no words

.
(Then there are those other times.)

And the mime wanted me to put pocket money into his cup
So I put my hand by my ear and told him "speak up!"
He just pointed at his face, shook his head, and showed the cup again
But he kept on playin' mum, so I went on playin' dumb, cause I just had a ten.
Heh!

Chorus:
Mimes Mimes, everywhere a mime
Standin' in the public square, wastin' my time
If you liked the act, won'tcha tip the mime?

And the mime wanted me to believe he was flyin' a kite
So I pulled out my phone and pretended to talk till he was out of sight
But he kept on goofin' and clowning 'round and gettin' in my face
I'd like to call a cop, maybe make him stop, but it's a public space!

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:
Now, come on jackass! what's your problem, you're ain't stuck inside no box
You won't ever talk, won't even walk, without actin' like you're blown back by the wind.
Mime wants me payin' out money I earned for a show I didn't want.
Sheesh!

And the mime thought all of us should watch him flail around and not forget to pay
But he just didn't have a focus, 'n' his moves were ill-defined.
I didn't think he'd sold it at all, so when I saw that hat comin' my way I gave him a big ol' grin
And pretended to pull out a big roll of bills, countin' three, puttin' 'em in.
