What an acronym!

But I'm sure it's a parody of the actual S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. (The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America). I remember going to one of their shows many, many years ago and enjoying quite a bit.
