I was waiting for Sarah at her bus stop yesterday afternoon, and I got interested in stuff on the sidewalk. This is a crack in the cement, maybe as wide as my thumb. There's a bigger version behind the jump.

There's an even bigger one of it at the flickr page. You can get lost in it. I took some others, but I'm going to get better shots of the same subjects before I put them on my flickr page.

I was lurking on a friend's friend list when I found your post. Nice photo.

I was thinking if you liked that you should check out some recent artwork by Robert Pasternak. He has been doing pastels and camera videos (i don;t know proper name... using the camera to film about 1 minute) of concrete. I will put the link in quotes for any who are interested.

It is the link to the Ken Segal Gallery in winnipeg, under Geometric Concretism.

Robert Pasternak did the T-shirt design for the 'Winnipeg in 94' bid many years ago.

I've got it open in another window, and hope I'll have time to look at it. I like to gape at textures sometimes, especially ones where there's something happening.

Okay, found time. It looks interesting, if only it was shown large enough to see it better. (I had the same gripe earlier today when somebody had put up a page of Jack Davis covers for LPs -- all I could see was a hazy overview of the material, and I wanted to see the lines.)

I hope to make it to a Canadian con before I get too old to wander outside. Living in western MA, I'm in driving distance for the time being.
