I've decided in recent months that external cheese is more noticeable than cooked-in cheese. I grate the cheese, and put some on the plate(s). I stir a little into the eggs along with the cut-up sausage bits, and the rest goes on top after the eggs are out of the pan. I season them with garlic salt and some pepper.
