my rapper name alphabet

.
If I was going to adopt one of those MC names, I think I'd go for "Meritorious B." I thought about it as I was sticking magnetic letters back on the fridge. (Sarah, with help from us, put D-I-R-T-Y on the dishwasher yesterday, to show that the dishes hadn't been run yet. Since then, they've been run. She also put two Ws up. Actually a W and an upside down M.) It occurred to me that "Sometimes Y" was another good one. Then, as usual, I decided to go too far and see how many letters I could do. My list:

Freaking A
Meritorious B
Shining C
Passing D
Silent E
Gimmean F
Dropped G
Elided H
Me Myself & I
Blue J
Oh K Special K (get that sponsorship)
Hotter'n L
Auntie M (or Anti-M, if you're not an F)
Aspir N
Stere O
Wicked P
Miss Q (or Missed Q)
Avast! R
P-Nutty S (peanut butter ad reference)
Herbal T
Nutsta U** Wossamotta U (yes, that's the one!)
Henry V (for all you Lancastrians)
Vee W Incurious W*
Triple X
Sometimes Y
Chimpan Z

Later on, I'll think of ones I should have done, but I wanted to put this up now, because if I left it on the screen while I paced the treadmill, I'd keep thinking of other ones, and then I'd either forget them and go nuts trying to unforget them, or I'd be tempted to pause the machine while I went and typed them in.

update: Already, the second thoughts have started.
* Third thoughts, even: For you dot-com types, howzabout Dubbadubba W?
**Sheloves U (yeahyeahyeah)?
.

I would pick Whatsamatta U, but that's probably family influence.

Sounds like everything is going well out there. Love and hugs to you and yours from me and mine!

Absomatively! Done and done.

It'd be swell to see some or all of youse. I keep sending stuff to your mum in hopes she'll get some bookings out here.

Shiny! I'm sure that they're getting to the right (as in booking) person and we'll work on getting out there sometime next year!

Although it's certainly difficult to beat out Wossamatta U...I think my rapper name would be "Double U" but that might get to be confusing.

Now that is utterly wretched. ;)

That is, assuming I am B!

Kip, thanks for keeping me gloriously entertained at work.

Years ago I had a particularly nasty split up with a longtime girlfriend. Her middle initial happened to be "A." (for Ann), and it wasn't long before I referred to her to some of my friends as "$FIRSTNAME happy, undeserving A. $LASTNAME," and myself as "Matthew wretched, meritorious B. Tepper." Nobody got it, or maybe they all just rolled their eyes back and ignored it.

When CNU did The Mikado, I was keenly anticipating a production of that song, which was my favorite by Gilbert & Sullivan. They cut it.

Herbal T? That'll be for when rap goes totally mainstream.

One of my cats has a rap moniker: B-Ran-D

Well done!

I'd vote for Gentleman C, myself, but that probably is too similar to Meritorious B.

Passing D was the closest I could get to Gentleman C, because I was partial to Shining C already. (In case anybody in LJ-land is wondering, here's the context for Meritorious B.)
