for the senses

For the sense of hearing: crazy Batman record from 1966, apparently recorded by Sun Ra and The Blues Project. (Thanks to WFMU again.)
For the sense of sight: the random livejournal picture generator. Simply shows what pictures have been put up on LJ accounts in the last few seconds. Oftentimes it's not safe for work, or even your own peace of mind. Every now and then it leads to some swell discovery or other. A lot of the craziest stuff is put up by Russians, for some reason. The brainchild of Toothpaste For Dinner. Oh, if you see something that grabs you, bookmark it right away. It won't be there next time you look!
For the sense of wonder: nest lab. Just all kinds of spacey eyeball kicks. I've looked at just a couple of things from here. I have no idea what the rest are, but they're probably interesting. (Thanks to WFMU yet again.)
For the sense of adding a dimension: Sidewalk artists who fool the eye, using the same classic techniques the great masters liked to play with on their day off. (Thanks to Mark Evanier)
For the sense of intellectual satisfaction: the charts of Karl Hartig. He also has other stuff on his site -- just snoop around. Seems to have a knack for conveying info graphically. (Thanks to Guy Kawasaki.)
For common sense: I'm going night-night.
