I seem to be getting comment spam multiple times a day, some days. It's a sudden increase, as if someone had just given an infomercial seminar on how YOU can get RICH by placing comment spams on LJ. It's inconvenient to me, but you won't see them. I have my comments set to screen anonymous ones, and I delete them before they ever get to the page.

I expect they'll continue to be anonymous. LJ would delete anybody who used their account for junk like that. I think.

I'm not surprised. Like I say, it's just as if somebody did an infomercial or something.

You might want to start recording their IP addresses, and, especially if they're from the same one or very close together, report this to LJ Abuse.

On a related note, do you find that voice that reads the fine print at the end of "try this drug!" ads just the most comforting thing ever? I think a whole CD of that voice reading cautionary announcements would be the best thing to go to sleep by.
