I've had an open support request re: the MyLJ birthday list for a couple of weeks now; the only response I've had is that they know about it.

I think they're letting MyLJ die of attrition; the birthday list *does* work on the "LJ Home" page they've been trying to push, but it has a MySpace-ish look and feel that annoys me to pieces.

I seldom look at MyLJ until I see somewhere else that someone's having a birthday, or if I want to check back on something. I use it as a way to get to names on my flist sometimes. Not surprised it's dying slowly.

It's my preferred LJ entry point, because (a) it's customizable and (b) it lays out my who friendslist in such a way that if I'm short on time and just want to check what one or two people are posting, I need only click on their usernames.
