What the [deleted] do you [deleted] spammers think is going to happen? Do you [deleted] think that if you just keep posting your [deleted] little spiels that after a while I'll just shrug and say, "What the [deleted], I guess I'll just stop killing these little [deleted]s and let them stay around and sell their junk"? You're full of [deleted] if you think that, and your posts are going to keep getting [deleted].

They think at least 1% of LiveJournal users don't screen their comments, and it's too much trouble to keep track of which ones.

Well, yes, actually, they do think that. The problem is that it costs them nothing more to broadcast their ads to thousands or millions than it does to create them at all, so all it takes is one or two suckers to make a return on their investment.

I find I don't even have to act -- the anonymous comments are screened, and by the time I log in they've been automatically blown away by someone else's "this IP address is bad" button.
