another milestone

Last night, Sarah showed me a new trick. She tosses her blanket ("boo-wah") into her crib, then grabs the rail and gets her feet up with her toes through the slats on the mattress. Then she can get up high enough to get her waist over the rail, and she grabs the side and brings herself into the crib. Hey, presto! She is in. Then she asks for help getting back out so she can repeat ad libitum. I plan to take a little movie of her doing this, after which we will remodel the crib into its next incarnation as a child bed. It's versatile.
So I drove to work this morning and found myself behind an SUV with vanity plates reading "NOT EVEN." I said to myself, that's odd.
