The repairman was called, and he applied his expertise to the copier (instead of the more normal procedure of applying it to explaining that we can't expect anything on heavy stock, pre-printed stock, stock that feed sideways, or stock that isn't on the Master List O Stock that can be found at his company's website).
Now that's unusual. (Actually, our repair techs are mostly quite good.)
