This Amazon listing is a little dry, but the customer reviews are certainly enlightening.
"I bought a can of this about 4.5 billion years ago, give or take a few million years, but when I went to use it today I noticed only half of it was still in the can. I swear I put the lid on tight. I'd give it more stars if it came in a better package."

"I run a secret nuclear facility for a country that would prefer to go nameless. Imagine our surprise when we got our Uranium into the lab and realized it wasnt't the ENRICHED uranium. Sure, this stuff is good for an acetate or practical jokes, but if you need to make some high grade plutonium you better look elsewhere. I'd like to say this products poor review does not refect upon Amazon at all. With the sactions in full effect [...] is about the only way for us to get our materials into the country. Their delivery to the desert is top notch.

"Oh and... Death to America."
Medium-large thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elisem for the pointer. Update: It was also linked from bOINGbOING -- if there was an option to read LJ in chronological order, instead of backwards, I'd have known that. Seriously, how hard would it be to let me read things in the order they were written???

You could read from the top down instead of the the bottom up?

Bloglines has a little button that changes the sort from "newest first" to "oldest first," and I can leave part way through reading the messages and come back later and take up where I left off. With LJ I have to try and run through everything in a sitting, or else there will be messages I never see. It's really wretched, and changes this from being something somewhat enjoyable to being an onerous chore that must be completed NOW or never.

Reading from the bottom of the screen wouldn't solve this. I've tried going back through some pages, but finding my place that way is also inconvenient and time consuming.
