Via shelleybear, some drunken dipstick has killed the director of the Jean Shepherd movie, A Christmas Story. An unlicensed drunk -- hey, kind of like the guy who totaled our VW Squareback and got away with it -- will likely be charged after he gets out of the hospital. Well. I was just listening to the comments on the DVD of the movie. It's kind of odd -- I don't really care for any other movies he's done, but this one was a masterpiece.

He deserved a better end than this.

Okay, come to think of it, I've heard good things about Murder By Decree, and might enjoy seeing that. Also, Mark Evanier said good things about Tribute. So I might care about two other movies he's done if I ever see them.
